2021 Eduhack: Designing educational innovation
From a first idea to a validated prototype of an educational service in a single intensive weekend.
As a competitor at the EduHack 2021 hackathon, I focused with my team on developing an innovative educational project called KIKS. The goal of the event was to design and prototype, in an intensive weekend format, a solution that responds to concrete challenges in modern education.
In our project we concentrated on increasing student engagement and the practical application of design thinking. The whole hackathon was for us a process of rapid prototyping, where, under the guidance of experienced mentors and in confrontation with an expert jury, we refined the concept so that it would be immediately sustainable in practice.
Taking part was a fundamental experience in how to turn a pedagogical vision into a functional educational product. Thanks to it, the project moved from an initial idea to a validated prototype that shows how to effectively connect theory with the needs of schools.
