ESN MUNI Brno

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) at Masaryk University provides essential support for integrating incoming international students. Over my years in the organisation, I didn’t settle for a single role but went through the whole spectrum, from hands-on “front line” help all the way to running the entire local section.

As a board member and in the role of Local Representative, I helped set the organisation’s strategic direction. I acted as the main communication bridge between the local and national levels of ESN, ensuring a smooth flow of information and leading delegations of four to twelve people to national and international events and assemblies. I later put my leadership experience to use on the supervisory committee, where I oversaw the healthy and transparent running of the whole organisation.

For all four years I also worked as a “buddy”, becoming a personal guide for more than 10 international students. I helped them navigate everyday situations, organised events showcasing Czech culture, and made it easier for them to settle into local life.
