2024 Inspiromat, a toolbox of information and media education methods
Students tried out 10+ media-education methods and then designed their own, ready to use in practice.
As course author and lecturer, I guided students to move from being passive recipients of information to confident creators of educational programmes. Participants first tried out selected methods for developing media and information literacy themselves, then analysed them from the perspective of teaching practice and the needs of different target groups.
Students gradually internalised the principles of non-formal education, applied design thinking, and by the end of the semester designed and delivered their own educational activities.
The course works as a genuine idea generator. People leave with a shifted attitude toward media and a deeper understanding of the digital environment. But most of all, they take away concrete, tested methods they can use immediately and confidently to further educate pupils, students, or the public.
