2025 Mediawise Toolbox: a collection of media literacy activities
7 ready-to-use media literacy lessons from an international team of 25 people from 7 countries.
As editor of the international publication Mediawise Toolbox, I led a team of 25 youth workers from 7 European countries to create a complete set of ready-made lessons that can be used immediately in non-formal education.
The methodology is built on the principle of experience, reflection, and immediate application. In the designed activities, participants try things like generating fake content using artificial intelligence, uncovering influencers' manipulative techniques, or going through an experiential digital detox.
The publication contains 7 fully developed, field-tested educational activities (so-called ready-to-use), for which trainers can find precise goals, a timeline, and specific reflection questions.
Instead of general warnings about digital risks, we put functional tools directly into people’s hands. Thanks to them, the younger generation gains digital confidence, the ability to deconstruct media messages, and develops a responsible approach to digital wellbeing.
