Two years behind the microphone: preparing and hosting a morning show and interviewing guests for a broad audience.
Hosting the morning show at Rádio Česká Kanada was my first taste of media practice. For two years I prepared the broadcast, from choosing topics to shaping the individual segments, and interviewed guests on air.
A morning show reaches a mixed audience. I learned to speak clearly, briefly and simply, so that anyone who happened to tune in could follow. It was behind the microphone that I discovered how much I enjoy turning information into something that makes sense to a broad audience.
I later built on this experience while studying journalism and working in the Czech Radio newsroom.
