Training librarians: Municipal Library of Prague

Trainer & methodologist · long term collaboration

Since 2020, recurring cycles of media-literacy webinars for library staff across the country.

As part of a long-term collaboration with the Municipal Library of Prague, I work as a trainer and methodologist focused on developing digital and media literacy among library staff across the Czech Republic.

My goal is to translate complex topics, such as disinformation or digital habits, into an accessible form that helps people better navigate today’s information chaos.

Training in a library setting has to be highly practical. Instead of theoretical lectures, I run webinars designed to give participants concrete, everyday guidance, whether that’s spotting manipulation in the media or understanding the digital world of children and teenagers.

Most common topics

  • Information and us: analysing the media landscape and navigating the information jungle.
  • Children’s digital world: safety on social media and how to talk to children about it.
  • Critical thinking: recognising disinformation and manipulative narratives in everyday communication.
